The first time you open Pakje, choose the occasions you buy gifts for: Sinterklaas, Christmas and birthdays. Then add your first person. Budgets and occasions can be changed later.

Yes. After the introduction, tap the gear and then View example. You'll see an example list with every feature, including Pro. Whatever you change there disappears when you tap Close example. Your own list stays untouched.

No. Pakje is your list as the giver: who, what, how much, and what you've already bought. Nobody else sees it.

Tap Add gift, or the Gift for button on someone's page. Enter what it is and, if you like, the price. A link, photo, shop, note and where you've hidden it are under More options.

Tap the budget on someone's page to change it for that occasion. Want to give everyone the same? On a gift, tap the occasion and turn on Same budget for everyone there. A budget set for one person always comes first.

As soon as at least two people count, the Overview shows a bar for each of them with what you've spent. Pakje tells you whether it's even or who's falling behind. Children count by default. For anyone else, tap the pencil on their page and turn on Counts in ‘Fairly shared’ under More options.

Tap the status to move it along: idea, bought, wrapped, given. Swiping right does the same. Press and hold the status to pick another one, including a step back.

Tap Undo straight away. Longer ago? In Settings, go to Back up or restore and tap a date under Automatic backups. Note that this replaces your whole list with that copy, including anything you changed since.

In Safari or a shopping app, tap the share button and choose Pakje. Choose who it's for. If you pick no one, Choose later stays selected and the idea goes to the inbox under Ideas.

Yes. Under Ideas, the paste button turns the link on your clipboard into an idea. For a gift, paste a link under More options. If the title is still empty, Pakje fetches the title and an image from that page.

In Settings, open Reminders and switch on Reminders on first. Then choose how many days before (14, 7, 3 or 1, with 14 and 3 by default), the time and whether birthdays are included. The Overview also asks once, as soon as you have a gift.

Yes. Choose New occasion when you pick an occasion, or in Settings under Occasions. Give it a name, an emoji and a date. An occasion of your own happens once. Occasions is also where you choose which occasions are on.

Pakje asks you to wrap up the occasion. You see what you gave and spent, and decide what happens to ideas and to gifts that are bought but not yet given: on to the next occasion, to Ideas, or gone. For Sinterklaas and Christmas you also choose whether budgets carry over to next year. If you do nothing, Pakje wraps up by itself after 45 days, without deleting anything. What you gave stays saved. The yearly archive is part of Pakje Pro.

Turn on Hide mode in Settings. The eye button at the top then hides gift titles, prices, photos and statuses, in the Still to buy widget too. Budgets and totals stay visible. Press and hold a gift to peek. With Lock with Face ID, Pakje locks as soon as you leave the app.

When you leave Pakje, it keeps a copy on your phone, at most one a day. The last 7 are kept, without photos. In Settings, under Back up or restore, you can also export a backup as a file yourself, photos included. Restore backup puts such a file on a new phone. It replaces everything already there.

Nothing. Pakje sends no statistics and has no account or server of its own. Your list stays on your phone. There's more in the privacy policy.

Pakje is free for up to 3 people, with budgets, status, Fairly shared, ideas, reminders, Face ID, hide mode and backups. Pakje Pro adds unlimited people, Sinterklaas and Christmas in one budget, the yearly archive and the widgets. Pro is €7.99 forever or €3.99 a year.

In Settings, under Manage subscription, or in the App Store under your subscriptions. Your people and gifts stay just where they are.

In Settings or on the paywall, tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with.
