Your list stays on your phone.
Pakje has no account and no server of its own. Your people, gifts and budgets live only on your iPhone. Pakje measures nothing and sends no statistics.

Who we are
Pakje is made by CRENO, The Hague, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 97563994). Questions about privacy? Email crenoprojecten@outlook.com.
What Pakje stores
The people you buy gifts for (name, emoji, relationship and, if you add it, a birthday), your occasions and budgets, and your gifts (title, price, status, link, shop, photo, note and hiding place). Plus your settings.
All of it stays on your iPhone, shared only between the Pakje app, its widgets and its share button. It's about other people, like your children or family. That's why it never leaves your phone, not even to us.
Backups
When you leave Pakje, it keeps a copy on your iPhone, at most one a day. The last 7 are kept, without photos. When you export a backup yourself, you choose where the file goes. It contains your whole list, photos included, and the file isn't encrypted, so keep it just as safe. If you back up your iPhone, Pakje may be included, as with any app.
Links and online shops
When you paste or share a link to a product, your iPhone fetches the title and an image from that website. The website sees an ordinary visit, with your IP address. Pakje sends nothing about you or your list along with it. If you tap the link on a gift, that shop opens in Safari, like any other link.
Photos
You choose a photo for a gift yourself, in the iOS photo picker. Pakje only receives that one photo, makes it smaller and keeps it on your iPhone. Pakje can't access the rest of your photos.
No statistics
Pakje doesn't measure how you use the app and sends no statistics or analytics, to us or anyone else.
When you close the paywall, Pakje sometimes asks why, if you'd like to say. Your answer stays on your iPhone. Only if you tap Question or idea? Email us yourself does your mail app open a message with your answer and the version of Pakje, which you send yourself. We then receive that email and your email address, and use them only to improve Pakje and, if needed, reply to you.
Buying Pakje Pro
You buy Pakje Pro through the App Store. Apple handles the payment. We never see your name, email address or payment details. Your iPhone only checks whether you have Pro. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchases.
Notifications, widgets, Siri and Face ID
Your iPhone schedules reminders itself. Nothing goes through a server. The widgets read your list on your iPhone. When you hide your gifts with hide mode, the Still to buy widget shows no titles or prices. The Countdown widget only shows the number of days and what's left of your budget.
If you ask Siri to add a gift or for your next occasion, Apple processes your speech, as with any Siri request. Pakje itself sends nothing.
If you lock Pakje with Face ID or Touch ID, your iPhone does the check. Pakje only learns whether it succeeded, and never sees your face or fingerprint.
What we don't do
Pakje has no account, no server of its own, no ads and no tracking. We don't sell data and we never see your list.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask which personal data is held about you, and have it corrected or erased. Your list is only with you, so you change it in the app. Delete the app and everything is gone, apart from backup files you exported yourself. If you email us, you can also ask us to delete that email. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children
Pakje is meant for adults who give gifts, and is not intended for children under 16.
Changes
If this privacy policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
