Alarms
The alarm doesn't ring, I only get a notification
A real alarm needs permission for Alarms, and iOS 26 or later. To switch it on:
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap Apps, then GRWM Timer.
- Turn on Alarms.
In GRWM Timer, the gear icon on the home screen shows which kind of alarm your iPhone will use, and has a button to test it in 10 seconds.
I don't hear a sound
A real alarm rings even when your iPhone is on silent or in Focus. A notification does not: on silent it stays quiet. Turn on Alarms (see above) to make it ring, and check that the volume isn't all the way down.
How do I stop the alarm?
The alarm goes off again every minute until you open GRWM Timer, for up to 30 minutes. Open the app, or tap Let's go on the alarm, and the rest are cancelled.
How do I change the alarm sound?
Tap the gear icon on the home screen and pick a sound under Alarm sound. Tap a sound to hear it. An alarm that is already set switches to the new sound.
Routines
How do routines work?
Dinner, Party, Date, Work and Everyday are routines, each with its own steps and minutes. Pick one on the home screen, and whatever you change for it is remembered for next time.
How do I add, rename or delete a routine?
Tap the + after the routines on the home screen to add one. To rename or delete a routine, or edit its steps, open Settings with the gear icon and tap the routine.
Can I delete or add steps?
Yes. Swipe a step to the left to delete it, hold and drag to reorder, and tap Add a step to add your own with a name, a length and an icon. The menu at the top right can put the default steps back.
What if the timer is running and I leave the app?
Nothing is lost. The timer works from the clock, so it is correct when you come back, even after locking your phone or closing the app.
Privacy and ads
Is my data stored anywhere?
There is no account. Your routines and settings are stored only on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.
Why do I see an ad?
A single ad appears when you tap Done after finishing. It keeps the app free. Ads are provided by Google AdMob; you can change your ad choices under Ad privacy choices in Settings, where that applies. Read the privacy policy for details.
